San Bartolomé de Tirajana, begins to promote its tourist offer online, a mid-range area

Newsroom Wednesday, October 27, 2021

The new website enhances the singularities of the interior of the municipality and the 'Camino de Santiago between Volcanoes of Gran Canaria'

San Bartolomé de Tirajana now has an official website to promote its tourism, cultural, and leisure offerings, as well as the Tunte Jacobeo 2021/2022 Project and the Camino de Santiago route between the volcanoes of Gran Canaria. This project, https://tuntemedianias.maspalomas.com/, was launched by the former Tourism Councilor of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Alejandro Marichal, who regrets that despite the website being operational, the current administration has neither announced nor presented it, despite offering "a unique opportunity to revitalize life and economic activity in the most economically depressed area of the municipality."

Tourism is the main source of income for our municipality, we must be “more agile” when it comes to publicizing promotional tools as important as the newly launched website.

The page has been created with the aim of publicizing the tourist attractions of the Medianías such as its historical, natural, cultural, ethnographic, folkloric heritage, its inland landscapes, tourist infrastructure, gastronomy... so the website promotes diversity of the tourist offer of our destination and that complements the sun and the beach, Marichal explained.

Five sections make up the website that includes Geography and Protected Natural Spaces, History, the urban and rural centers of the Medianías, the description of Tunte Jacobeo with information about the Holy Year, as well as the Routes of the Camino; and a last section where the user can access all the tourist information of the municipality and the Jacobean Route as well as download the various tourist guides created for the promotion of the different leisure offers of the municipality such as the Camino de Santiago, the beaches, gastronomy, getting to know the municipality on wheels, Culture...In addition, it is written in five languages: English, German, Swedish, French and Spanish.
