Justus Frantz announces that the meeting will take place under the motto 'Good music under a starry sky' from September 28 to October 07

The Casa de Los Músicos estate welcomes Ángel Wang, Konstantin Frantz, Sarina Shimanskaya, Jorge Harioño, Vania Rudin and Justuz Frantz himself

Marco Aurelio Pérez highlights that Frantz has made it possible for new international artists to know that Maspalomas “has a home for classical music”

This morning the Casa Condal de Maspalomas hosted the presentation of the Frantz & Friends Festival, which this year is being held again in the idyllic setting of Monte León, “in the Finca where great international musicians, performers and composers have stayed and composed music inspired by the landscape of the South of Gran Canaria”. This was explained by the conductor and pianist, Justus Frantz, who excitedly thanked the San Bartolomé de Tirajana city council for “the unconditional support it offers year after year to this encounter with classical music, which has Maspalomas as its epicenter.” Present at the presentation were the mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez; the Councilor for Culture, Elena Álamo; the Councilor for Tourism, Yilenia Vega; Festival founder Justus Frantz; and his son and his pianist, Konstantin Frantz

The pianist and international orchestra conductor, Justus Frantz has enriched the cultural programming of San Bartolomé de Tirajana for many years. More than 30 years ago he founded the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and is the founder of the Finca Festival "Frantz & Friends" which this year takes place under the motto 'Good music under a starry sky' and will feature “the best young artists of the world". Thus, from September 28 to October 07, Ángel Wang, Konstantin Frantz, Sarina Shimanskaya, Jorge Harioño, Vania Rudin and Justuz Frantz himself will meet at the Casa de Los Músicos farm.

Frantz highlighted that this year the Festival stands out for its “youth” by having young performers such as the American Angel Wang, who at only 20 years of age has already been awarded in numerous international competitions, including first prize in the 63rd Contest. International Piano “Premio Jaén”, as well as the special prize for the best performance of chamber music and author's work by the composer Laura Vega. For this reason, Frantz highlighted that the residents, visitors and tourists of Gran Canaria will have the “excellent opportunity to meet the artists of the future in a relaxed and almost private environment.” Thus, he also highlighted the “impeccable technique” that will be provided by the British, Jorge Harliono, who received second prize in the Piano specialty at the International Tchaikovsky Competition held just a month ago.

The son of the founder of the Festival, Konstantin Frantz, will also participate in this event, who, in the words of the pianist, “recently caused a sensation in Russia for his excellent interpretation of Russian compositions at the hands of a German,” Frantz joked.

The mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez, thanked Justus Frantz for his involvement with the municipality, “for making it possible every year for new international composers and performers to know that Gran Canaria and, specifically Maspalomas, has a house for the classical music and for making our neighbors and tourists enjoy unparalleled music in an idyllic environment such as Monte León,” Pérez concluded.
