The entity signs an association agreement with the British club and UD Las Palmas

Present at the event were the Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Carlos Álamo; the general director of UD Las Palmas, Patricio Viñayo; and the commercial and marketing director of Norwich City Football Club; Sam Jeffrey.
Carlos Álamo highlighted that this agreement is “a great opportunity to impact a strategic market for the Canary Islands and Gran Canaria in particular. We are going to enter millions of homes of potential tourists through sport." In addition, he pointed out that this agreement between Turismo de Gran Canaria, UD Las Palmas and Norwich City “is a decisive step to value the British customer and try to get Also, maximum performance to the 20 cities that are connected to Gran Canaria." Patricio Viñayo praised the vision of Gran Canaria Tourism and the speed with which this agreement with Norwich City has been signed. “This is the beginning of a beautiful story and with this union we are sure to consolidate great growth,” said the general director of UD Las Palmas, who explained that with agreements like this “we are taking small but forceful steps in our internationalization.” In addition, he highlighted that “we work so that, despite our humility and being newcomers in the First Division, we can place UD Las Palmas at the service of the Island, since our team must be seen as a driving force of the Gran Canaria brand.”
With this collaboration agreement, Turismo de Gran Canaria becomes the main partner of the London club and ensures that the image of Gran Canaria is displayed on the shirts of the men's first team. In addition, the British team is committed to broadcasting audiovisual productions and advertising during the televised and non-televised broadcasts of the football matches played by Norwich City as a local team, an important reach on the channels of the London entity, which will represent an excellent promotional campaign for Gran Canaria as a tourist destination in the United Kingdom and Europe, showing the many possibilities that the Island has to enjoy a perfect family holiday and highlighting its virtues for practicing sports.
An extensive campaign will also be carried out on social networks through the Club's channels linked to Gran Canaria's own channels and a series of digital content will be produced each season, with the title Getting to Know Gran Canaria (Getting to know Gran Canaria); and the club's merchandising will have to have the Gran Canaria logo printed, among other actions. Likewise, thanks to this agreement, Norwich City will be able to visit Gran Canaria annually to play a friendly match with UD Las Palmas, they will be able to concentrate on the Island or have a development program from the Academy that the club itself has, through which encourages the exchange of knowledge, new experiences in the areas of grassroots football, or the creation of bilingual campuses, which will undoubtedly be activations for fans of both teams.
