Gran Canaria airport will operate more than 1.500 flights during the Asunción long weekend, making it the busiest of the islands
The airports are already preparing for the massive movement expected for the Asunción bridge. In the Canary archipelago, nearly 6.000 flights are expected at the different airports of the seven islands.
Of the 5.700 flights that Aena expects to operate in the Canary Islands during the long weekend, some 3.600 will be national and the rest, approximately 2.100, international. These numbers represent an increase of 1.181 more flights than last year, however, they are not comparable figures since in 2022 the bridge had one less day.
By island, the flights are distributed as follows: 1.983 in Tenerife (1.054 in Tenerife North and 929 in Tenerife South), 1596 in Gran Canaria, 993 in Lanzarote, 674 in Fuerteventura, 324 in La Palma, 90 in El Hierro and 40 in La Gomera.
