Drop in temperatures for next week

 

 

Alert for temperatures in the Canary Islands 

 

The prediction of a maximum temperature of at least 34ºC, but which may exceed 38º in those places most exposed to extreme heat conditions and will be particularly significant on the summits and slopes facing west, south and east of the island of Gran Canaria.

 

 

 

Temperatures are decreasing moderately, and may be locally more pronounced in the case of maximum temperatures, especially in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. 35 to 37 ºC will still be reached in the midlands. 

 

For August 14, the wind from the North or Northeast of 50 to 61 km/h in the west and southeast of Gran Canaria, mainly offshore.

 

The sky is slightly cloudy or clear in general, except for some intervals of low clouds on the northern coasts of the most prominent islands in the early and late hours. 

 

Generalized haze that will mainly affect high areas, tending to subside slightly during the day.
