Agents of the National Police began an investigation last month, in order to prevent the introduction of drugs into the Las Palmas II penitentiary center, knowing that some relatives of the inmates took advantage of the visits to introduce various narcotic substances into the prison. the prison.
For this reason, the agents established a control and security device, where a woman was located and a total of 19 packages containing 24 grams were intercepted during a security search prior to the appointment she had made. of hashish and 13 wrappers with 27,7 grams of cocaine, equivalent to 414 doses, for which she was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.
The detainee had the intention of introducing narcotic substances into the Las Palmas II prison, taking advantage of a visit to her son, who was in the center serving his sentence.
As a result of this fact, the agents began an investigation, where they managed to identify two people, a man and a woman, who had provided the drugs to the detainee to take it into the penitentiary.
