According to the Hospital Discharge Satisfaction Survey carried out on more than 3000 patients, care in public hospitals in the Canary Islands is remarkably high.
The Canary Islands have almost outstanding healthcare, at least that is what their users consider it to be. The Hospital Discharge Satisfaction Survey, carried out by the Canarian Health Service on 3.204 patients who have been treated in some of the public hospitals on the islands, ensures that the service offered is 8,64 or, in other words, a notable height that borders on outstanding.
Psychiatry, Gynecology or Pediatrics services are the most valued by patients, being rated with grades higher than 8. Furthermore, practically 100% of respondents have stated that they are satisfied with the service provided by the staff of the island health centers. The cleanliness and operation of the centers (schedules, visits, meals...) has been satisfactory for 86,6% of those surveyed by the Canarian Health Service.
The sample of this study is made up of 3.204 users, of which the largest age group is between 50 and 69 years old. The sector of foreigners living in the archipelago and tourists who had to spend a stay in a hospital on the islands have also been present in this survey, with a total of 109 foreigners surveyed, divided into 79 English, 19 German and 11 French. .
