The alert situation due to maximum temperatures in the Canary Islands ends but continues in some municipalities
With the AEMET forecasts for August 17, the health risk warnings due to high temperatures continue, which in some municipalities are extended for a few more days, until August 23.
GRAN CANARIA
Red notice: Agüimes, Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Lucía de Tirajana (from August 17 to 23), Ingenio, Tejeda and Valsequillo (from August 18 to 23).
Orange notice: Artenara, Vega de San Mateo and Santa Brígida (from August 18 to 23).
Yellow notice: La Aldea de San Nicolás (from August 18 to 23) and Telde (from August 19 to 23).
For the weekend the sky will be slightly cloudy or clear in general, with some cloudy intervals in low areas of the north of the mountainous islands in the early and late hours. Light calima at altitude, mainly in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Temperatures without changes or slightly rising, will reach 34 ºC in inland points in the south and west of Gran Canaria, and 32 ºC in the south of Fuerteventura and Tenerife. Moderate wind from the northeast, with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes of the mountainous islands, where there is a low probability of occasional very strong gusts in the early morning and late hours.
