The facility has been fenced by Parks and Gardens to provide security
The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has reopened on the afternoon of this Monday, August 14, the sports field of the public park on Paseo de Las Salinas, in El Castillo del Romeral.
The facility has been subjected to recovery and improvement work in recent weeks by the Department of Parks and Gardens headed by the eighth deputy mayor, Araceli Armas Cruz.
The works have basically consisted of renewing the entire perimeter fence of the sports field, and repairing with welding the interior panels that were detached and quite damaged.
“The works have been carried out at the request of the residents who use the premises to prevent the balls from constantly leaving the playing space, and to offer greater safety measures, especially for the little ones,” he states. Araceli Armas.
Once the works were completed, the Department of Parks and Gardens decided to reopen this leisure facility, extending its usual summer hours by one hour, until ten at night.
