The strong smell of marijuana that came from inside a farm alerted police officers to a possible plantation.
One detainee and 16 large marijuana plants were seized
Agents of the National Police have arrested a 49-year-old man in Telde, with no police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
The National Police recently became aware of a possible marijuana plantation on a large farm in a neighborhood of the Teltense municipality. Therefore, the agents went to the scene to verify the facts.
Once the property was located, the agents were able to verify that a strong smell of Marijuana was indeed emitted from inside, so the police investigation began to identify and locate the alleged perpetrators.
After several efforts, the identification and location of the person responsible for the property was achieved; he acknowledged to the agents that there were several marijuana plants inside.
The police operation culminated in the seizure of 16 large marijuana plants and the arrest of a man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, being placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
