Sara López, player from the Unión Deportiva Granadilla Tenerife signs for Real Madrid for women for the new season
The Real Madrid women's team continues to incorporate Canarian talent into its ranks. The white team incorporates Sara López, a Gran Canaria defender who has spent the last four seasons at UDG Tenerife. Sara joins Misa Rodríguez, Gran Canaria goalkeeper of the white team and international with the Spanish National Team, with which she is one step away from winning the World Cup.
The young Canarian defense kicked the ball for the first time in the south of Gran Canaria, specifically in the municipality of Mogán, home of the renowned Femarguín club coached by José Carlos Álamo. The 21-year-old central defender was part of the Moganero club from the 2016/2017 season to the 2018/2019 season, when her good performances helped UDG Tenerife notice her and incorporate her into their ranks.

In this way, the young Gran Canaria product of the Femarguín youth team joins the Real Madrid project. A project that is in full expansion after creating the women's football section a few years ago and with which the white club intends to follow in the footsteps of the men's section and become a world-class team.
