The Ministry of Tourism and Employment calls for aid for hiring through the 'Return to Employment', 'Certify yourself' and 'Young Employment- Incentive yourself' programs
Companies can now request direct and retroactive aid of up to 8.000 euros per contract
The Ministry of Tourism and Employment, through the Canary Islands Employment Service, has opened three calls for subsidies under the Incentives program for the hiring of unemployed people. The counselor of the area, Jéssica de León, assured that the objective of this financial aid is to “promote the labor market and the creation of employment in the different productive sectors, prioritizing the hiring of long-term job seekers, women, the elderly. 45 years old, young people and people with a professional certificate.”
The first line of action, endowed with 800.000 euros, is intended to encourage the hiring of long-term unemployed people through the Return to Employment program. Companies can apply for this aid and contracts formalized from March 2023 to April 2024 are included.
The amount varies depending on the type of contract and a range is established that ranges from 3.000 to 7.000 euros. If the contracts that are signed, which have to be full-time, are indefinite, an aid of 7.000 euros is set. For each contract formalized with a duration of twelve months, the amount is 4.000 euros and 3.000 euros if the period of permanence is equal to or greater than six months. Likewise, the indefinite hiring of long-term unemployed women and people over 1.000 years of age will be subsidized with an additional 45 euros.
With a budget of 600.000 euros, the Certifícate program establishes a subsidy for companies that hire unemployed people registered with the Canarian Employment Service and who have obtained the recognition of a Professional Certificate prior to hiring.
In this line of aid, full-time indefinite hiring will be subsidized with 7.000 euros per contract, while for temporary hiring due to production circumstances and for training to obtain professional practice, the amount of the aid is set at 3.000. euros. If the contract is concluded for a duration of twelve months, the bonus is 4.000 euros. The company will receive an additional 1.000 euros with the hiring of unemployed women, job seekers over 45 years of age and young people under 30 years of age. The eligible action is retroactive since it corresponds to those contracts formalized from April 2023 to March 2024.
Added to these two calls is the Youth Employment Incentive Program - Incentívate, which has an amount of 300.000 euros and includes aid for companies that promote the hiring of unemployed young people for a period of more than six months in the form of internships or internships. training and learning.
This action establishes three deadlines for submitting applications according to the time of the employment signature, which must be between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024. The amounts per person range from 3.000 to 5.000 euros depending on the contract, plus 500 euros for people with disabilities, young people who do not have more than three months of work experience and people who are victims of gender violence.
