The new bungling inherited by CC and PP in Tirajana

Gara Hernandez Monday, August 21 of 2023

An absurd issue in the ways of operating that existed in the local government coalition of San Bartolomé de Tirajana before 28M could lead to losing EU funding for the south of Gran Canaria in terms of youth employment. In a letter sent last week by the Canary Islands Employment Service to the City Council, to which Maspalomas24H has had access, it is stated: "you are informed that given that in the subsidy application submitted on 02/03/2022 it opposes This administration consults the data of being up to date with the Social Security Treasury and that no document is provided by that entity of being up to date with payments and given that the certificate of being up to date provided on 17/12/ 2021 is not valid."

This comes because the Canarian Employment Service has rejected the crazy municipal claim of not wanting to authorize that their tax data can be compared with Social Security in order to access financing for the so-called First Professional Experience Program in public administrations in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union-Next Generation EU.

The request for aid was in March 2022 and the corporation did not provide a document so that the SEC could know whether or not it was up to date with payments on the date of the request. Now the City Council has 10 business days to provide that document. After that period, the Canarian Employment Service washes its hands and sends the money to the recycling bin, that is, the funds are returned to the EU.
