The signing of the Canarian agenda and the support of the elected nationalist deputy for Feijóo during the round of consultations confirm the good relationship between the two parties and rules out the option of supporting a new Sánchez government

After marking the red line of not supporting a government in which VOX or Sumar were and subsequently softening their speech by stating that they are open to dialogue with the main candidates and even stating that CC is closer to Sumar than to VOX, the Canarian Coalition has finished plucking the daisy and has already decided who to support in the investiture: the candidate of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
A support that leaves practically no one indifferent, especially taking into account the good relationship between both parties with the number of agreements in city councils, councils and in the regional government itself that both parties have in the archipelago.
Already on the night of May 28, when the electoral results were known in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, it was an open secret that the municipal government would be formed by Marco Aurelio Pérez and Alejandro Marichal, the same situation as in the Government of the Canary Islands, where an agreement in record time that returned the presidency to Fernando Clavijo and left Manuel Domínguez as vice president.
This regional support is now (once again) transferred to the national political sphere. This Monday, after being received by Felipe VI in the round of consultations ahead of the investiture, the elected deputy of the Canarian Coalition, Cristina Valido, confirmed that she had conveyed to the king her support for Alberto Núñez Feijóo. A support that was signed yesterday with the signing of the famous “Canarian agenda” in the Congress of Deputies with the presence of the general secretary of the Popular Party, Cuca Gamarra (who also had the support of the nationalists in the vote for the Congress Board) and Poli Suárez, general secretary of the popular parties in the Canary Islands. On behalf of the Canarian Coalition, the Secretary of Organization, David Toledo and Cristina Valido, made an appearance.
It should be noted that the nationalists have been the only formation that has made the popular ones sign an agreement in order to give them their support for the formation of a government, since UPN gave its support to the PP from the first moment and VOX made available to the popular their 33 seats in exchange for “not contributing to the cordon sanitaire” that the rest of the parties are applying to those of Abascal.
