The council provides three buses so that residents can go to Teror on September 7
The municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana will take a cart with a house from an Aboriginal village to the El Pino Offering Pilgrimage in Teror, like those that have been found in La Fortaleza. Like every September 7, the council will make three buses available to residents to go from the municipality to Teror.
The ticket for the trip on the buses can be purchased for 4 euros, at the Municipal Athenaeum or at the Santa Lucía Town Hall, between Friday, September 1 and 6. At 14.30:22.00 p.m., two buses will leave from the Zafra museum and, at the same time, another will depart from the Santa Lucía Hull park. The return from Teror will be at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
The aboriginal house is designed by the artist Sergio Guerra and aims to highlight the cultural and historical heritage that La Fortaleza de Santa Lucía de Tirajana represents, one of the most important aboriginal sites in the Canary Islands. It is a circular stone house, with a roof made of branches. During the journey on the cart, Saray, an artisan from the town, will go doing handicrafts.
The City Council of Santa Lucía de Tirajana was one of the first, in the 70s of the last century, to carry the aboriginal theme in its cart. Every year a diptych is distributed to the public explaining the reason for the cart, with historical and ethnographic data.
The municipal cart will leave number 17, and will be accompanied by the folkloric group Roca Canaria and the Santa Lucía de Tirajana dance group. Along with the cart will be the representatives of the Municipal Corporation and the residents of the municipality who wish to do so.
