At around 16:44 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing that the Red Cross had removed a man from the water who was in cardiorespiratory arrest. in Playa del Águila, San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
Upon arriving at the scene, the SUC personnel confirmed that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest and performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, so his death was confirmed.
The San Bartolomé de Tirajana Firefighters collaborated with the Red Cross in rescuing the victim.
The National Police took charge of the body of the deceased until the arrival of the judicial authority and carried out the corresponding procedures. The Local Police of San Bartolomé de Tirajana will collaborate with the emergency services.
