The City Council has organized Active Job Search workshops for users of municipal Social Services. This Friday a workshop was inaugurated that will last until December.
A dozen students have signed up for this workshop where basic skills that can facilitate integration into the labor market will be taught. How to make a resume, write a cover letter, how to face a job interview, the importance of knowing the employability map or the benefits you can qualify for are some aspects that will be addressed in the workshop inaugurated this Friday, where On the first day, a psychologist and a social worker taught the classes.
The 'Employment Project' aims to prepare key skills for people who have not had their first job, long-term unemployed people, people over 45 years of age, women in situations of social difficulty, young people and other vulnerable groups. The mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Francisco García, accompanied by the Councilor for Social Services, Saúl Goyes, and technical staff from this municipal area, welcomed the workshop students.
The mayor stated that “this City Council has always been very sensitive to social issues, and in this case we are convinced that the training they are going to receive will help them have new tools to be able to look for a decent job that can serve the livelihood of families.” For his part, the Councilor for Social Services, Saúl Goyes, declared that “these workshops serve to provide tools to people who are in situations of social vulnerability, so that they have more tools when it comes to finding a job.”
