This afternoon, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that occupants of a pleasure boat had pulled a person from the sea who was in cardiorespiratory arrest and they were performing resuscitation maneuvers on him while they were transferring him to land in the Anfi del Mar area, municipality of Mogán.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The SUC personnel confirmed that the affected person, who was being assisted by the personnel of a private service ambulance, remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued practicing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, without obtaining results, confirming his death.
The Civil Guard guarded the body of the deceased until the arrival of the judicial authority and instructed the corresponding procedures and Civil Protection of Mogán collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
