The representation of the Village of San Nicolás in the traditional Pilgrimage to the Virgen del Pino in Teror, led by the mayor, Víctor Hernández, and the councilors José Francisco Navarro and Ulises Afonso, included a large group of neighbors, who offered offerings more than 300 kilograms of local products to the Virgin.
In total, they have taken fresh fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, bananas, papayas, mangas, zucchini or peppers, among many others.
The cart, designed by Suso Valencia, paid tribute to the work of all those who were dedicated to the gofio mills, because "we must remember that La Aldea de San Nicolás is known as the municipality of a thousand mills, not only because of the water, but also for those who toasted the gofio,” indicated the mayor, Víctor Hernández.
In this sense, the cart had a millet sheller incorporated, as well as ferns that covered the 18 boxes of products that were delivered by the municipality to the Villa Mariana de Teror.
The delegation was accompanied musically by the Canarian Community Development Project Foundation.
