At around 11:34 a.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that a person required health care after suffering an accident with a tractor and falling several meters down a slope in an area of difficult access in Lomos de Pedro Afonso, municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana
A 68-year-old man who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented with severe multiple trauma, was rescued by the GES helicopter and evacuated by medical helicopter from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The SUC personnel assessed and assisted the affected person in the place where he had fallen and, given the impossibility of carrying out his evacuation by land in safety conditions, requested the Coordination Center for the intervention of an aerial resource.

The GES helicopter rescuers proceeded to rescue the victim, hoisting him on a stretcher to the device and evacuating him to the "Maestro Antonio" soccer field. From there, once stabilized, he was transferred in serious condition by medical helicopter from the SUC to the aforementioned hospital.
The Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources, the Firefighters ensured the landing and takeoff maneuvers of the helicopters on the soccer field.
