In critical condition after being recovered from cardiorespiratory arrest in a hotel in Tauro

This afternoon, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a person had fainted in the vicinity of a hotel pool. in Tauro, municipality of Mogán.

 

1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. An off-duty SUC emergency health technician verified at the scene that the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest and began practicing resuscitation maneuvers. The staff of the SUC and the health center in the area continued practicing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, managing to recover the pulse of the affected person. Once stabilized, he was evacuated by medical ambulance to a nearby area where the SUC medical helicopter landed, which transported him in critical condition to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

 

The Firefighters ensured the landing and takeoff maneuvers of the helicopter. The Mogán Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
