Municipal works in schools in Tirajana, ready for the start of the course

The primary education centers of San Bartolomé de Tirajana are already taking their first steps with the reincorporation of teachers and students after the summer break period. The centers have surpassed magazine status before the start of the 2023-24 calendar. The Ampas in the area have been informed of the calendar and the teacher training centers have barely stopped in the summer.

Specifically, the planned investments in Aldea Blanca, Juan Grande, Matorral, Pancho Guerra, Castillo del Romeral and Tunte have been 100% executed. For El Tablero, Oasis Maspalomas, Santa Águeda, EOI, Pepe Monagas, Montaña La Data the investments have ended with some details of the previous year. Likewise, for the Cercado de Espino, Las Dunas, Alcalde Marcial Franco centers and the two San Fernando units, they have been completed on time.

The plan has been part of the local agenda to renovate toilets and provide several centers with accessible bathrooms, renovate windows and children's classrooms, renovate dining areas, install fire doors, arrange courts and make accessible access. to the patios are some of the works planned for these new RAM works. 

The educational centers in the south of Gran Canaria begin this September, the school year begins, returning to the classrooms the second week of September, and marked by the implementation of the LOMLOE in odd-numbered years. The 'back to school' this year will be, as usual, something different in the south of Gran Canaria and is the prelude to the start of the high tourism season for parents.

In general, the ordinary activities of the school year will begin on September 11 and will end on June 30 of next year 2024. Regarding higher artistic education, the ordinary school year began on September 1 and will end on July 14, 2024. These will be the dates for the start of the course in each teaching or educational stage in the south of Gran Canaria: Early Childhood Education, in Primary and Secondary: September 11; Ordinary Baccalaureate and Adult Baccalaureate: September 12; Vocational Training, both basic and adapted vocational training programs, in-person and distance learning: September 13.
