A woman rescued in serious condition after suffering incomplete drowning on Arinaga Beach

At around 14:09 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert informing them that the lifeguards at Arinaga Beach had pulled a person with signs of drowning and were providing first aid.

 

A 35-year-old woman who, at the time of initial assistance, presented symptoms of severe drowning. Upon arriving at the scene, the SUC team assessed and assisted the affected person and once stabilized, they were in charge of transporting her by medical ambulance to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

 

The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources, the Local Police collaborated with the health emergency service and instructed the corresponding procedures.
