Tirajana: card for Three Kings toys to families without resources

Gara Hernandez Thursday, September 14, 2023

The Councilor for Social Affairs, Dimas de la Cruz, launched this Wednesday a mechanism to provide underprivileged people in San Bartolomé de Tirajana with means of electronic payment so that they can buy Christmas gifts for children. These are wallet cards for each family for an amount of 60 euros and, in this way, the aim is to ensure that economic difficulties do not affect the little ones in the house. The cards will be paid in toy stores and perfume stores. The company that wins the supply must hire audit and expense control personnel. This is one of the expenses planned in the south of the island for that period without taking into account the special street lighting plans.

The plan of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council is to promote measures that "contribute to satisfying the needs and aspirations of the neighborhood community." The needs that will be covered will be for minors and young people up to 17 years old "from families at risk of social exclusion in the municipality, in order to guarantee the right to play and the positive experience of the Christmas season." The winning company must prove participation in the promotion of social projects, directly or through social foundations.

At Christmas 2023, there will be, as is traditional, a Nativity scene by Juan Grande and music at Tunte and El Tablero. Children will be able to see the Three Wise Men in person in the Parades that will depart on January 5 from the Cruce de los Caídos de Tunte at 19.00:20.00 p.m. and at 17.00:XNUMX p.m. from Los Llanos de Fataga. In Maspalomas, Their Majesties will leave from the Municipal Stadium parking lot at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., and will take the same route as last year through the streets of San Fernando, ending in the square. Fair attractions would be installed in front of the San Fernando municipal swimming pool during Christmas.
