Agents of the Las Palmas Civil Guard deployed in Madrid arrested the players in the Valdebebas Sports City
The Civil Guard of Las Palmas arrested three Real Madrid players this morning for the crime of revealing sexual secrets. The events were reported by the mother of a minor who approached the Main Post of the Civil Guard in Santa María de Guía to report, together with her daughter, 16 years old and the alleged victim of the events, the dissemination on WhatsApp of a series of sexual videos of the minor.
As the agents report, the events would have occurred in Mogán in the month of June, but the mother and the victim herself would not have been aware of the dissemination of the video until now. Following the complaint, the Civil Guard began a series of investigations that have resulted in the arrest of these three players, one from Real Madrid Castilla and two others from Real Madrid C, with another player in this category being investigated for this same matter.
The club was quick to react, ensuring through an official statement that when they have detailed knowledge of the facts they will take the appropriate measures.
After hearing the news, the name dances began in an attempt to find out the identity of the detainees. According to the sports journalist Fonsi Loaiza and national media such as OKdiario, the detained footballers and the person investigated for this matter would be the Catalan Ferrán Ruiz, the Galician Juan Rodríguez, the Balearic Andrés García of Real Madrid C and the Gran Canarian Raúl Asencio.
The issue has already sparked great indignation on social networks, where many fans have shown their rejection of the reported events and have asked for exemplary measures if they are finally found guilty. In the political sphere, the acting Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, has also reacted, who assured that the dissemination of sexual images without consent is also sexual violence; a tweet that has also been shared by the Government delegate against Gender Violence, Vicky Rosell, adding extracts from the famous law known as “Only yes is yes”.
