The highest payment in the municipality of Agüimes begins its festivities this weekend with the proclamation, a night of partying and a fair of local products
Starting this weekend, Temisas faces a new edition of the festivities in honor of its patron saint, San Miguel Arcángel. The main events will begin on Saturday, September 16, at 20:00 p.m., with the reading of the proclamation, which this year will be given by Antonia Valentín Castro, artisan and resident of the place. At the end of the event there will be a toast with a tasting of local products and a night of partying with performances by Amigos Isleños, Merita La Pena and Medio Jigo p'al Kilo.
On Sunday, September 17, starting at 11:00, in Los Olivos park, the local products fair will take place, which this year will be especially dedicated to cheese, olives and wine. The event will feature children's activities and will be enlivened by the El Viejo Cafetín party.
The programming will continue next week with a zanga tournament, a senior party and a hifi stopover, among other activities. It will be the preamble to the pilgrimage, which will arrive on Saturday, September 23, starting at 19:00 p.m. Festivals, children's activities, exhibitions, board games and music, comedy and dance performances will complete the agenda until the end of the month.
The most notable events of the festivities will come to an end on Friday, September 29 with the flowered reveille, the papahuevos, a neighborhood asadero and the popular festival of the soljero.
