The Department of Economic Development of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, under whose umbrella the management of Infecar falls, has today laid the foundations to “open avenues of dialogue and collaboration” - in the words of the person responsible for the area, Minerva Alonso - with the City Council of Agüimes to enrich and enhance the use of the fairgrounds of this benchmark municipality in the southeast. “Infecar carries out the fair activities of Gran Canaria and having this space can undoubtedly contribute to the island's economic revitalization,” explained the counselor.

This is one of the conclusions reached today in the meeting that Alonso and the mayor of Agüimes, Oscar Hernández, held together with their technical teams, in which they also monitored the work currently underway in terms of industry and commerce in the Arinaga Industrial Estate. “This industrial estate is a national benchmark for its public-private collaboration model and from the Cabildo it is our obligation to continue working on improving facilities and modernization,” explained the counselor, in reference to the “strategic work” that is being carried out. carrying out the construction of a water tank that "will also benefit the entire municipality, not just the industrial estate," he pointed out, and the Center for Transfers and Treatment of non-hazardous waste, whose drafting of project subsidized by the Cabildo, and which will turn Arinaga into a pioneering industrial estate in this matter.
