The president is stepping aside for health reasons but is committed to remaining linked to the association he has led for more than five years.
Today marks the end of an era in the Hindustani Association of Gran Canaria Sur, known as "The Indian Club", with the departure of its president for more than five years, Nitish Khatnani. In an emotional farewell note, Khatnani expressed his gratitude to those who supported him during his tenure and left the door open for a new generation of young and willing leaders.
The one who until today was president of the association highlighted the achievements achieved during his mandate and thanked all those who accompanied him on this trip, such as all those who collaborated on the Club's Board of Directors, the sponsors and the public administrations that supported the actions of the association for the benefit of the Indian community in the south of Gran Canaria.
In his statement, Khatnani did not overlook the critical support of his family, who stood by him and supported him every step of the way, despite the demands and responsibilities of his senior position.
Despite not delving into the reasons for his departure, Khatnani indicated that his health condition now requires his full attention, which marks the end of his mandate in the Hindustani Association. Despite this, the president does not say goodbye definitively, but rather commits to continuing to support the association; something that he made clear by closing his statement with "see you later, which is a sign to return."
