The celebrations will be from September 28 to October 09, hosting the 1st Song Festival and performances such as Salvapantallas, Kilombo Improvised and Pedro Afonso
2023 CASTILLO DEL ROMERAL FESTIVAL PROGRAM
The Romeral Castle will begin tomorrow, Thursday, September 28, with the celebration events of its Patron Saint Festivities in Honor of San Miguel Arcángel and the Virgen del Carmen. For the inaugural proclamation of the festivities, Professor Paco Matías Sosa, a native of Aldea de San Nicolás and resident of the Castillo del Romeral, who for years has carried out various social and educational projects in the fishing neighborhood, was invited. After his intervention, the music will begin at the Fairgrounds with Ochentour.
The Department of Celebrations and Events, directed by Yilenia Vega (CC), has counted on the collaboration of the neighbors this year to design a program “designed for all ages, and attractive not only for the residents of the area but for the public in general. An attractive program implies that people from other municipalities come to Castillo del Romeral to enjoy the events, thus energizing the area, businesses and coexistence with other residents of the municipality.”
The ringing of the bells of the Los Religiosos Church will start the day on Friday the 29th, which will continue with batucada, water parade with the Agaete Band. At 19:30 p.m. the mass will be celebrated in honor of San Miguel. At night, music will be provided by Kilombo Improvised and Pedro Afonso, at 22:00 p.m. and 00:00 a.m., respectively. On Saturday the neighbors will collaborate in the beautification of the coast with the Parque Marítimo Association, to celebrate the Pilgrimage and Offering at 18:30 p.m., which will end with the celebration of the festival enlivened by Banda Larga and the DJs Yediel and Promaster. Sunday will be a day for the little ones to enjoy the foam party, at 12:00 at the Fairgrounds; and at night with the Children's Gala.
The week will begin on Monday the 2nd, with the Zanga Tournament at the Cultural Center, and at night the HiFi Escalade, in which the residents of Castillo del Romeral will participate. The next day, the youngest members of the house will once again take center stage, with a parade, gymkhana and the Youth and Senior Gala. The older ones will be the protagonists of Wednesday, for whom a snack has been organized at the Fairgrounds at 18:00 p.m., and then the Mayor's Gala and festival.
The 'Birthday of all the children' will be celebrated on Thursday the 5th, starting at 17:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center, an event that will be organized by Pepe 'El Heladero', with the collaboration of the Pastelería Alemán and the Animation inflatables Fancy. The fairgrounds will host the 20th Anniversary of the Batucada del Castillo starting at 30:20 p.m.; and the I 'Castillo Canta' Song Festival. The day will end with a Screensaver concert.
The last weekend will begin on Friday the 6th, at the Fairgrounds, with the Mass for the Sick. At 20:00 p.m. a Salsa and Bachata MasterClass will be offered. Live music will close the day with Idel El Mulatito, a festival with Leyenda Joven and Grupo Arena.
The procession with the boat of the image of the Virgin of Carmen will be held on Saturday the 7th at 15:00 p.m., upon its return a popular grill will entertain the participants who will be able to dance with the young DJ Yediel. During the night, the festival will be the protagonists with Star Music, Armonía Show, Dj Sammyto, as well as the fireworks. On Sunday, at 05:00 hours, the neighbors will wake up with the Diana Floreada and a chocolate bar at the Fairgrounds. Later, at 11:00 a.m. the solemn mass and procession will be celebrated at the Los Religiosos Church. At 15:00 p.m. the fairgrounds will host the solajera festival with Armonía Show and Paco Guedes. The events will end on Monday the 9th, the mass of All Souls, at 18:00 p.m.
