The municipality that saw the birth of the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair hosts its 18th edition, on September 30 and October 1, 2023 (next Saturday and Sunday)
The event will take place in the Plaza de la Candelaria between 09:00 a.m. and 14:00 p.m.
This edition is promoted directly by the Commonwealth of the Southeast of Gran Canaria (Ingenio, Aguimes, Santa Lucía)
The Fair will host 50 agri-food producers from all over Gran Canaria, highlighting the presence of producers from the Southeast Region. As in previous editions, the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair will host an important variety of products: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Olives, Sea Salt, Wine, Honey, Coffee, Artisan Bakery and Pastries, Gofio, Fruit and Vegetable Products, Craft Beer, Milk , Cheeses, Microvegetables, Sugar Cane, Ice Cream, Kombuxa, etc.
In this edition the Fair is complemented with numerous parallel activities:
- Guided tour program to the historic center of Ingenio (Km.0 and local tourism)
- Gastronomic dynamization through giving the possibility of enjoying the “Soup of
bread” in certain restaurants in the municipality.
The Km.0 Gran Canaria – Sureste Fair (Ingenio) is possible thanks to: Commonwealth of the Southeast of Gran Canaria, Ingenio City Council, Agüimes City Council, Santa Lucía City Council, Department of Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria, Tourism of Gran Canaria, Cajasiete, Gran Canaria Mosaico and Tourism of the Canary Islands.
The Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair aims to: boost the local economy, make visible and promote the consumption of local products, encourage sustainable habits and support those who help preserve the landscape.
Parallel to the celebration of the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair, Ingenio will host a new edition of the Feria del Sol, this Fair will take place at the same times as the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair in the surroundings of the Plaza de La Candelaria.
The Feria del Sol aims to raise awareness among the local population of the importance of using sustainable energy, as well as present some of the technologies and companies that are providing some type of service or proposal in this sector.
The coincidence of both Fairs will turn Ingenio into the CAPITAL OF SUSTAINABILITY in Gran Canaria during next weekend.
