Around 14:00 p.m. yesterday, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which they reported that a bather was in trouble at Playa del Cabrón, municipality of Aguimes.
A man of unknown age who, at the initial moment of assistance, showed signs of mild drowning was rescued by the GES helicopter and transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Agüimes Health Center.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The GES helicopter rescued the bather and took him to the place where the ambulance was. The SUC troops assisted the affected person and transferred him to the aforementioned health center. The Local Police and Firefighters collaborated with the emergency services.
