They were the winners of the transfer contest from other municipalities

His incorporation had been pending since last February

Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez presided this Monday over the inauguration of seven Local Police officers as new career officials of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.

These are the seven police officers who obtained the best merit rating in the transfer competition from other municipalities that this City Council articulated as a measure to alleviate the significant deficit in personnel presented by its Local Police force.

Their incorporation, the new agents acknowledge, is assumed with “joy” after almost seven months of delay than expected, since the proposal of the qualifying court was delivered to the previous mayor on February 21, and its official publication on the municipal website It was done two days later.

“We are grateful that Marco Aurelio has expedited an administrative procedure that was stalled. He has resolved this takeover in just 4 months, and he has had the month of August in between, which is not a business day for public administrations,” says the new Local Police agent Carlos A. L.

This is one of the issues stuck since the previous legislature that the Department of Human Resources led by the second deputy mayor, Elena Álamo Vega, has managed to move forward in a short time. Its final resolution has been prioritized to provide personnel to the Local Police and, at the same time, resolve the family and schooling problems that the delay in the incorporation of the new agents was causing.

The agents who passed the selective process of the transfer competition and who this Monday took office as local officials are Alexis Q.P., Drago R. K., Antonio M.S., Benito L.M., Carlos A. L., Pablo E.P. and Alejandro B.L. Five of them took the oath of office and the other two promised. The mayor welcomed them and congratulated each of them. “I hope that the work you do is for the good of the community of this municipality,” he told them later in general.
