During the early hours of Monday another vehicle burned in Vecindario, being the third in just under three months.
The fire of a vehicle during the early hours of Monday on Apolinario Macías Street, in Vecindario, alerted the residents of the area and mobilized two trucks from the Arinaga Fire Station.
The fire started around three in the morning and had its origin in the front of the car, which prevented the fire from spreading to other vehicles since there was no other vehicle parked in front of the one that caught fire.
The extinguishing efforts did not pose a big problem for the members of the Gran Canaria Fire Consortium, who used about a thousand liters of water to put out the flames. The front part of the vehicle was completely burned.
This event is added to two other similar events that occurred in recent months in Vecindario. The first of them It happened at the beginning of July and left 7 vehicles affected on Brasil Street. He second It occurred in September, on Picasso Street and spread to a nearby building, causing damage to the façade, windows and external wiring.
In March, another similar event resulted in another burned out car on Centrífuga Street, However, on this occasion the vehicle began to catch fire while driving and caused a dangerous situation when it stopped under an electrical tower.
The three fires have happened in a period of less than three months and the streets where the vehicles were parked are just over a kilometer away.
