A 62-year-old Danish tourist died on Thursday afternoon in San Bartolomé de Tirajana while hiking in the Fataga Ravine. The alert was raised around 15:00 p.m., when the deceased's partner contacted the emergency services because they were lost and the man had health problems.
From the 1-1-2 operational room, all the necessary emergency resources were activated and, once located, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Fire Department moved to the scene of the actual events, which confirmed that the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest.
When the health personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service and the primary care team at the Tunte health center arrived, they could only certify the death of the man.
