Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez dictates an order with the streets that will be closed to traffic at night so that the actions planned by the Department of Roads and Works can be carried out.

From this Sunday until next October 26, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council will undertake the execution of an extensive project to renew and reinforce the road and traffic signs on the El Tablero de Maspalomas street map.
The work plan drawn up by the Department of Roads and Works directed by Araceli Armas Cruz plans to act - in this first phase - in almost twenty streets of the town. In many of them, the total or partial closure of the roads will be required. For safety measures and to cause as little interference as possible to road traffic, it has been decided to work at night, from nine at night to six in the morning.
To discipline this measure, Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez has issued an order where the residents of the town are informed about the streets, roundabouts and avenues that will be closed to traffic during the fourteen days that the works will last. The objective is for the population to provide for the necessary parking measures, given that during those days the streets will be required to be free of vehicles so that the company in charge of the works can carry out its execution without delays or setbacks.
The list of roads that will be closed to traffic at night to act on the renewal of all horizontal signage that is outdated or in poor condition is available to citizens on the municipal website. Cartago, Chile, San Salvador, Maldonado, Brasil and Camaguey streets will be affected by this measure; the Barranco, Las Américas and Francisco Vega Monroy avenues, and also the parking lot of the IES El Tablero I-Aguañac.
The proposed work aims to renew and update all the horizontal road signage of El Tablero that is already worn out and obsolete, such as pedestrian crossings, yields, stops, speed delimitations, and continuous lines, edges and parking lots among others.
