Eight local Mogán police officers decorated for their more than 35 years of service

 

As part of the celebration of the Holy Guardian Angels, patron saint of the Security Forces, the Mogán City Council has decorated this Friday 8 of its Local Police officers with the distinctive cross for remaining in active service for 35 years , and recognized the work of the Investigation Area of ​​the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Puerto Rico, the Group of Civil Protection Volunteers of Mogán and the chief inspector of the Local Police Station of the National Police Corps of Maspalomas. The chief sub-inspector of the Mogán Local Police, an agent from the same Corps and a citizen have also been recognized for interventions that have been crucial in saving the lives of third parties.   

 

 

 

 

Although the festival of the Holy Guardian Angels was on Monday, October 2, it was this Friday the 6th when the municipality celebrated the Eucharist in their honor in the Church of San Antonio de Padua in the historic center. After this, the institutional ceremony began in which the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, presented the distinctions together with the accidental councilor for Citizen Security, Víctor Gutiérrez, the chief of the Mogán Local Police, Jorge Alemán, and the chief sub-inspector of the aforementioned Corps, José Luis Segura.

 

They began by delivering the commemorative plaque to the Investigation Area of ​​the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Puerto Rico for the collaboration, commitment and good work with the Mogán Local Police Corps and the inhabitants of the municipality, for their invaluable effort and dedication in the clarification and resolution of criminal acts. 

 

Next it was the turn of the Civil Protection Volunteer Group of Mogán, which was recognized for being the personification of altruism and selflessness and for its dedication, worth and responsibility in service as well as for its ability to resolve emergencies with total discipline. and coherence.

 

He was also recognized for his collaboration, commitment and professional contribution with Mogán Moisés González Vidal, chief inspector of the Local Police Station of the National Corps of Maspalomas. Likewise, the agents of the Mogán Local Police José Luis Segura Díaz and Adrián Ferraz Rodríguez for the bravery shown in a service carried out on August 12 with a quick and effective intervention, crucial to saving the life of a citizen. Finally, a plaque was presented to the resident of the Souidi Mahou municipality in gratitude for his bravery and good citizenship in helping to save the life of a person on April 15 of this year with a quick, accurate and totally altruistic action. 

 

Finally, the official and social recognition of the agents of the Moganero Corps who remained in active service for more than 35 years was carried out. It was made in accordance with the Order of March 19, 2015, which creates and regulates the official badges for permanence in active service in the Local Police Corps of the Canary Islands.  

 

Those awarded were Chief Deputy Inspector José Luis Segura Díaz, Officer Román Santiago González Valerón and local police officers María Benigna Ajeno Araña, Juan Manuel Ramírez Jiménez, José Juan Santana Rodríguez, José Rafael Sarmiento Afonso, Josefa J. Trujillo Trujillo and Eugenio Hernández. Ramirez. 

 

The mayor addressed them, stating that it is necessary to officially recognize the professional career and police conduct that they have had during all these years of service in which, she noted, they have contributed to the development, promotion and training of the Police Force. Local police. “They are examples of professional dedication, of the defense and protection of our neighbors and visitors,” she said, extending her congratulations and gratitude to the rest of those recognized. 

 

The head of the Mogán Local Police, Jorge Alemán, also participated, concluding the protocol act with the anthem of Spain, the Canary Islands and the singing of the song 'Death is not the end' in memory of the members of the Forces and Security and Emergency Corps killed in service. 

 

The attendees shared a toast. Among these councilors of the Municipal Corporation, the lieutenant of the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Puerto Rico, Rubén Arroyo, the senior second lieutenant of the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Puerto Rico, José Antonio Juan Sánchez, other representatives of the aforementioned Corps of Security as well as the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium based in Puerto Rico.
