The City Council completes the file of the selection process with the public employment offer management software 'Convoca'
The Department of Human Resources prioritizes the objective of progressively covering the deficit of personnel in the municipality's security forces
The City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has officially called this Wednesday through the Official State Gazette for free shift oppositions to provide the staff of career civil servants of its Local Police with 32 new agents.
The application submission period for applicants will begin this Friday, the 13th, and will end on November 10. The 32 positions called correspond to staff vacancies that were included in the public employment offer of this City Council.
To speed up the administrative file for this call for competitions, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has used the innovative public employment offer management software 'Convoca', a tool that digitizes and automates the entire selection process, from the offer to communication with applicants.
The intention of the Department of Human Resources headed by the second deputy mayor and Councilor for the Presidency, Elena Álamo Vega, is to progressively provide the City Council with new police officers and firefighters to correct the deficit in security personnel.
In that sense, in less than one hundred days of government and only in the area of the Local Police, the Department of Human Resources has managed to process this call for oppositions and the definitive incorporation of the seven agents who had won a transfer competition from other municipalities and who should have taken office as new local officials since the end of last February.
Among the requirements demanded of those opposing police officers is a minimum height of 1,65 for men and 1,52 for women, and a corpulence index of no more than 28, which must be proven by a medical certificate.
The fee for exam fees is 85 euros and will have to be paid once the provisional list of those admitted is published. Long-term unemployed people with certification from the Canary Islands Employment Service will have a 50% discount.
The provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants will be announced no later than one month after the deadline for submitting applications. The resolution will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas, on the municipal electronic notice board. https://www.eadmin.maspalomas.com and on the municipal website www.maspalomas.com. These three windows will, from now on, be the information spaces where any announcement regarding this call for competitions will be formalized by the City Council.
