The Veneguera 2023 Ethnic Cultural Festival was presented this Wednesday at the Multiple Services Building III of the Government of the Canary Islands by the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, the deputy minister of Culture and Cultural Heritage of the Government of the Canary Islands, Horacio Umpiérrez, the Minister of Culture of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Guacimara Medina and the Councilor for Culture and Celebrations, Mencey Santana. Bueno explained that in previous years the activity took place at the end of September but that this 2023 the celebration date has been delayed until October 21 to avoid the extreme heat. “In the same vein as refreshing the Festival and as a pilot experience, all activities will be concentrated at the Veneguera Football Field,” he said, recalling that in previous editions these were distributed between the area known as La Cardonera, the Veneguera square and the football field itself.
“We have turned this Festival into a family event” to which “it is important to go with sun protection, a towel for the aquatic inflatables and with comfortable clothing and footwear to fully enjoy the day,” he noted. Likewise, he reported that large shaded areas will be installed on the soccer field.

The Veneguera Ethnic Cultural Festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the craft fair in which more than fifteen artisans from the municipality and the island will participate.
