Fifteen companies attend the coordination meeting of this trade mission, hand in hand with the Gran Canaria Me Gusta program
The Cabildo of Gran Canaria, within the framework of its Gran Canaria Me Gusta program, with the support of the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, calls on the island's business community to prepare to attend the Barcelona 2024 Food Fair. the largest fair in the marketing and distribution sector at an international level that will take place from March 18 to 21, 2024 and, the last edition, managed to bring together some 3.000 companies, in an area of 85.000 square meters.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Minerva Alonso, emphasized the importance of this session to discuss the news for next year and “start the commitment to attend the Fair because, among other issues, the design of the stand will be tailored to the companies that attend.”
The general director of the ministry, Juan Manuel Gabella, and the director of internal trade of the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria, Ramón Redondo, outlined the details regarding the organization of this trade mission for which a stand with a unified image will be built. under the umbrella of Gran Canaria Me Gusta and the attending companies will have a personalized space with their brand, so that it is more easily identifiable. They also announced that it will be located in Pavilion 1 and will have 140 square meters.
The Cabildo of Gran Canaria has participated in the food event since 2018 and is the only island organization that attends the event, thus supporting companies with high export capacity. In the next edition, as a novelty, companies from the island that are part of Asinca (Industrial Association of the Canary Islands) will attend.
