The City Council launches the 'Creating Opportunities' project, subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service with 378.398 euros
The second deputy mayor and councilor for Local Development, Elena Álamo Vega, has welcomed the 33 unemployed people who are part of the employment training project 'Creating Opportunities', launched by the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council on last Wednesday.
The project has a training aspect and an effective work aspect, which will be developed for the municipal area of Parks and Gardens, aimed at improving green areas and other public spaces considered priorities within the municipality.
'Creating Opportunities' is subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service with 378.397,83 euros, and is part of the collaboration framework that the Autonomous Community maintains with local administrations to promote training projects that improve the employability of long-term unemployed people. .
The launch of this training and employment project has allowed the hiring of 2 teachers, 2 foremen and 29 gardening workers, and will last nine months.
In addition to technical and professional preparation, students will also receive academic training in key level 2 skills (Mathematics and Language), and complementary transversal training in environmental awareness, equal opportunities between men and women, and the information society. to qualify for professional certificates.
