In this sense, the height of the waves could reach between 4 and 6 meters in these orientations and cause damage to infrastructure and bathers.
Given this situation, the Government of the Canary Islands recommends that the population take extreme precautions on the coast and put into practice self-protection recommendations to avoid risky situations and accidents.
Therefore, it is important to avoid standing on docks and breakwaters and not risk taking images near where the waves break. Likewise, it is insisted that bathing is prohibited on red flag beaches and that access to the sea in areas affected by strong waves should always be avoided.
