The detainee, SGS, later transferred by municipal agents to the Maspalomas Police Station, was camped on the beach and was identified along with six other people, of whom three were reported for repeat offenses in installing booths on public land in breach of the Municipal Ordinance for Attention and Care of the Coast.
The arrest of the young man in search and capture occurred after the Local Police operation that responded to the eviction of the Montaña La Arena booths contrasted with the National Police the identification of the six people camped.
At the same time that SGS was identified and arrested, the municipal agents required the campers to collect all their belongings and vacate the beach, and the corresponding complaint was filed against the three repeat offenders.
As will be remembered, the Department of Security and Emergencies headed by José Carlos Álamo already acted in the eviction of an illegal settlement on this same Cuesta La Arena beach last Tuesday, October 10, in an action in which the Departments of Beaches, Cleaning and Roads and Works.
In that action, which left the beach completely clean, a dozen huts were built with all types of materials (wood, plastics, umbrellas, fabrics, ropes, nets, cardboard...) that were generating a serious health problem in the environment. . In total, just over 10 tons of waste were removed.

"The City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana will be vigilant with compliance with the Municipal Ordinance that regulates the permitted and prohibited uses on the coast, because as a regulatory document it is the greatest guarantor that the beaches and the coast as a whole are respected in the better hygienic, sanitary and safety conditions. In that sense, we will continue to act, especially against these camps that cause considerable damage to our beaches,” says José Carlos Álamo. The City Council has already acted on the beaches of Las Carpinteras and Pasito Bea.
