To the seal of various venues in Meloneras, a raid was added this last week in various nightlife venues in San Bartolomé de Tirajana
Nightlife in San Bartolomé de Tirajana continues to be in the spotlight. After the continuous controversies in the Plaza Shopping Center that led to its closure and the seal orders to various locations in Meloneras, the nightlife in the south of Gran Canaria has once again been the target of the authorities this week with a raid on the Shopping Center Kasbah.
Like the Plaza Shopping Center when it was active, the Kasbah is one of those old shopping centers in San Bartolomé de Tirajana that houses various nightlife venues that bring together crowds of people every night in the south of Gran Canaria. Precisely those premises were the subject of a raid by the National Police last Thursday night.
Dozens of agents burst into the basement of the shopping center, paying special attention to the restaurants and nightlife establishments. The device lasted almost six hours and even included canine units. Although no arrests were confirmed by the National Police, some witnesses claim that several arrests were carried out during the operation.
This last situation is added to the one that the municipal council already had open with the leisure venues of the Meloneras Shopping Center, for which it initiated a file for noise complaints that became effective last week with the seal of four terraces by the Local Police.
