easyJet, Europe's leading airline, today operated the first flight between Gran Canaria and Naples, the only link available to travel between both cities, with flight EJU4203. With this new connection, the airline now links the island with 11 destinations, thus improving its air connectivity and bringing its appeal to more corners of Europe.
The inaugural flight was operated with an Airbus A320 Neo aircraft, thus highlighting the airline's commitment to sustainability. The Neo family aircraft offer savings in fuel consumption of up to 15%, in addition to being quieter.
The route connects Gran Canaria with Naples on Sundays and has more than 8.000 seats available. In the total number of connections offered by easyJet to/from the island this winter season, the airline has scheduled 221.000 seats.

This in particular is a route of great interest for a market like the Italian one that has grown a lot in recent years, which shows a notable level of spending, as well as cultural and gastronomic interest, and are also attracted by the good weather. Therefore, the arrival of the first flight on this route is good news for Gran Canaria.”
