The static traffic controls carried out by the Local Police of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council during this last weekend in different parts of the tourist city of the municipality have resulted in the instruction and filing of several complaints against heavy transport drivers for non-compliance. of the General Traffic Regulations.
In one of these controls, municipal agents inspected and identified a bus for the occasional transportation of travelers with tax domicile outside the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana that was working in a central area of Playa del Inglés to pick up passengers and supposedly transfer them to a shopping center in Puerto Rico, without having any authorization or permission from this city council to carry out said activity.
On the other hand, in the same control, the agents proceeded to report several merchandise transport vehicles for carrying more load than legally permitted. In the verification of the documentation of the vehicles transporting passengers and goods that was carried out in the tourist area, a truck was also surprised that lacked the required transport card, whose driver was issued the corresponding infraction report intended to the Labor Inspection.
Given the need to guarantee traffic safety and exhaustive compliance with the Traffic Regulations in the area of the tourist city, Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez has given instructions to the Department of Security and Emergencies, Urban Mobility and Transport of the San Bartolomé City Council of Tirajana, directed by the sixth deputy mayor José Carlos Álamo Ojeda, to articulate with the leadership of municipal agents the recovery and implementation of the Transportation Unit of the Local Police.
