In Las Palmas, residents point to two construction companies that would be mainly in charge of executing investment fund plans: Acosta Matos and Construplan. These are stingy Las Palmas companies in the sense that they appear to have nothing to do with the housing problem, at least that is what would have happened in Las Palmas, the market would end up driving people who live off rent into nearby areas to house to digital nomads on residential land.

The announcement of an increase in housing for popular classes and tourism professionals in the south of Gran Canaria worries construction companies in the south of the island. The discrepancies arise if the municipal corporation leaves the creation of the housing stock in the hands of third parties without strict quality control and with little room for modifications to the works once they have started. In the case of Construplan, the identity of the property is not known because it is all tiled with administrators in the middle in official public papers.

In the south of the island Acosta Matos has not come down with homes. It has tried to develop an alliance with Servatur, a hotel company for which Construplan has carried out works such as that of the deceased that occurred in the summer of 2022 in the south of the island. Acosta Matos has not entered houses but has entered the hotel business but with rehabilitation. That is why the Marieta apartment building was renovated to transform it into the 4-star Labranda Hotel Marieta, on Avenida de Italia 11, Playa del Inglés and with 192 rooms.

Acosta Matos' tourism business controls Canarian Hospitality which operates under the Mynd Hotels brand from Las Palmas. It does not have operations in the south of the island at the moment. Construplan, for its part, has developed many works in the south such as the tourist rehabilitation of the Datasol Apartments, Hotel Labranda Costa Mogán, Guatiza Apartments, Bungalows Tenesoya, Hotel Nayra, Roca Verde, Castillo del Sol Apartments, Barceló Margaritas, the complex in hands of Servatur Caybeach, renovates Africana apartments in Playa del Inglés, Datasol, Playa del Águila and Los Montemar in the south of Gran Canaria.
