In the cemetery, beautification actions have also been carried out with the incorporation of two murals and the renewal of the paint on the security railings
The Mogán City Council, through the Cemetery Department, will place flowers for the deceased in the municipal cemetery on the occasion of the All Saints and Faithful Dead festivities that take place on November 1 and 2, respectively. In this way, even those whose relatives will not be able to visit them due to certain circumstances, will have this small detail in their memory.
The purpose, stressed the Councilor for Cemetery, Rayco Guerra, "is that no deceased person is left without flowers." For this reason, he has reported that "all those deceased people who are in our cemetery and who, because they are foreigners, do not have relatives nearby or because their loved ones cannot come these days due to different reasons," will be placed.
The flowers will be placed between this afternoon and tomorrow morning. “We invite you to visit the cemetery because it is really already very beautiful with the flowers that the neighbors have been bringing these days to their deceased,” he said.
Cemetery beautification
For his part, the Councilor for Beautification, Josué Hernández, explained that work has been going on for weeks at the Municipal Cemetery to improve its image. “We have started by renewing the paint on the railings, which were previously green and are now black, a much more sophisticated tone for a cemetery.”
Likewise, two large murals have been made “so that people who visit find a place that is fresher and more welcoming, since our loved ones rest here,” he noted. The person in charge of painting the murals was Richard Santana, an artist specialized in this type of art. One of these is inspiring in the mountains behind the municipal facility and the other is made up of three large doves taking flight. Finally, more lighting has been installed to make visits at night more comfortable.
Both councilors thanked the work and involvement of the Parks and Gardens, Roads and Works and IMESAPI workers.
