The leaders, two brothers, used commercial establishments as a cover for their illicit activity.

They hid the drugs in corridors, false ceilings, trash cans, holes in the walls where their employees supplied themselves to sell.

Agents of the National Police of San Bartolomé de Tirajana have arrested nine men, aged between 68 and 25 years old, six of them with police records, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organization. .

The operation carried out by the National Police in the Kasbah shopping center last Thursday, October 26, in three specific locations in the premises, resulted in the discovery of just under half a kilo of drugs in false ceilings.

The leaders, two brothers, used their sellers, mostly citizens, in an irregular situation, to sell drugs. They also used commercial premises run by collaborators of the organization as a cover for the illegal activity, hiding the drugs in corridors of a shopping center, specifically in false ceilings, trash cans, behind advertising posters and holes in the walls.

In addition to the seizure of these substances, nine arrests were made, all related to an alleged crime against public health. The detainees appeared before the Court of Instruction number 1 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and denied any connection with the investigation and the raid carried out at their establishment, arguing that the commercial success of the establishment was due to the quality of its services.

The police operation had been initiated months ago following a series of anonymous complaints that warned of unusual activity in these three businesses. However, according to the same sources, the only drug found was in a location distant from the suspected premises.

The police operation culminated in the arrest of nine people, carrying out seven searches, four in commercial premises and three homes where 105 grams of cocaine, 223 grams of hashish, 280g of marijuana buds, more than 300.000 euros in cash and two high-end cars.
