Yesterday evening at around 20:17 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a collision involving four vehicles had occurred. overturning two of them, on the GC-1, near San Fernando, municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
A 40-year-old woman who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented with moderate multiple contusions, was transferred in a sanitized ambulance to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria. The second 30-year-old woman who, at the initial moment of care, presented moderate multiple contusions with transport in a medicalized ambulance to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria, the 11-year-old girl who, at the initial moment of assistance, presents a moderate chest trauma, is transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Maternal and Child University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The SUC personnel provided medical care to all the injured and transferred them to the aforementioned hospitals. The firefighters secured the vehicles and proceeded to clean the road and the Civil Guard regulated traffic in the area and instructed the corresponding procedures.
