At around 17:33 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which they reported that a vehicle had left the road, possibly caused after the driver suffered a blackout that caused him to lose control of the car, on GC-1, southbound, at the intersection of Playa del Inglés, municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
A 70-year-old woman, who at the initial time of assistance presented with minor injuries, is transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to San Roque Maspalomas Hospitals. The second woman, 73 years old, who at the initial time of assistance had minor injuries, was also transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to San Roque Maspalomas Hospitals. The man, driver of the accident car, 83 years old, deceased.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The health personnel, after arriving at the scene of the accident, verified that the driver was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so they carried out resuscitation maneuvers, without obtaining results. In addition, he assisted the two occupants who were traveling in the vehicle who were injured with minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. Civil Guard instructed the corresponding procedures.
